Arsenal Champion Community Shield, Wenger Praise Kolasinac

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was impressed with the debut of his new player, Sead Kolasinac, as he beat Chelsea in the Community Shield match at Wembley Stadium, London, England on Sunday (6/8/2017).

Kolasinac came into the field in the 33rd minute to replace Per Mertesacker who was injured.

He then scored in the 82nd minute to equalize and force the game into the penalty shootout.

This penalty shootout was won by the Gunners and Wenger was satisfied with Kolasinac’s performance.

“Kolasinac’s performance has been impressive since last week and I could have played him since the early minutes because he’s great every time he plays,” Wenger said.

The Frenchman also mentioned Kolasinac’s physical aspect as a plus point.

“He is very strong, some players have to be physically in the gym, but Kolasinac is born to be a solid figure,” he continued.

In that match, Arsenal ensure the Community Shield title after beating Chelsea in the shootout (4-1).

Earlier, in normal time, both teams drew 1-1.

Goals for the Blues, nicknamed Chelsea, scored by Victor Moses in the 46th minute. The Arsenal goal scored by Sead Colasinac in the 82nd minute.

In the shootout, in the Chelsea camp, only Cahill scored. Morata and Courtois failed.

Meanwhile, in the Arsenal camp, all successful scoring goals, ranging from Walcott, Montreal, Chamberlain, and Giroud.
